This explains what TKDbets collects, why, and the control you have over it.

What we collect

When you make an account we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text). To run and improve the site we also log basic visit data: your IP address, an approximate location derived from that IP (city and country), the pages you open and links you click, your browser type and a first-party session identifier.

How we use it

We use your email to run your account, send confirmation and password-reset codes, and (because you opted in) send fight picks, news and offers. We use the visit data to keep the site working, understand what fans find useful, and improve it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of providers only to run the service: our hosting provider, and an IP-to-location lookup (ip-api.com) to turn an IP into an approximate city and country. We do not share your email with advertisers.

Cookies

We use a login session cookie so you stay signed in, and a first-party analytics cookie to count visits. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from news and offers at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data by emailing hi@tkdbets.com; we will remove it within a reasonable time, except where we must keep something for legal reasons.

Security and retention

Passwords are hashed, the connection is encrypted with HTTPS, and we keep data only as long as we need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
